Aliyev received military badges from the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a gift and thanked the soldiers.

Aliyev was gifted badges from the Armed Forces
A video circulated showing Ukrainian journalist Olena Kurbanova presenting the badges from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the President of Azerbaijan.
'The most valuable thing, the badges of our defenders. Because our army is the only guarantee of security for Ukraine,- Kurbanova said during the presentation of the gift.
Aliyev accepted the gift, then thanked them and called to 'continue doing the same'.
'Thank you very much. Thank you for what you are doing. Keep doing the same'- said the President of Azerbaijan.
This has also drawn reactions from the most influential Russian propagandists, accusing Aliyev of 'irresponsibility' for the downing of a Russian helicopter in Armenia.
To note, in November 2020, Azerbaijani forces shot down a Russian Mi-24 helicopter in Armenia. This occurred near the border, in an area where combat actions were ongoing regarding Nagorno-Karabakh.
Recall that earlier, Aliyev made an unexpected statement regarding the war in Ukraine. He urged our country to never accept the fact of the occupation of its territories.
We also mentioned that the President of Azerbaijan refused to accept the envoy of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and sent him home empty-handed.
The gift of badges from Ukrainian soldiers to President Aliyev symbolizes support and solidarity between the countries on defense issues. The refusal to accept the envoy of the Russian President also indicates Aliyev's independence and determination in foreign policy.Read also
