As of this year's Easter, egg prices in supermarkets reached 76.4 UAH per dozen, which is 9% higher than the previous month.
Reasons for Price Changes and Forecasts
Experts explain that after Easter, egg prices decline due to increased supply and falling demand. The cost of the product is also affected by high feed prices and unstable energy costs. Forecasts suggest that egg prices will continue to fall if the situation with feed and energy prices remains stable.
Comparison with European Prices
Recent data shows that egg prices in the EU are on average higher than in the previous year. At the same Time, price increases were recorded in countries like the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, while decreases occurred in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Greece.
