EU ambassador's reaction to Russia's air attack on Ukraine
The EU ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Maternova, expressed her position regarding the massive air attack by Russia on Ukraine that occurred on the night of May 25. According to her, the Russian side continues to increase pressure on Ukraine by attacking the civilian population.
The Russians are relentlessly intensifying pressure. They are increasing terror against the civilian population. The attacks are becoming more intense and frequent. They mock the world!!! They ridicule the USA and any diplomatic attempts to achieve peace. Peace? What peace?
The ambassador expressed concern about the world's reaction to these actions by Russia and asked how to respond to Putin's terror and provocations. She also supported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in calling for action together with Ukraine to counter Russian aggression.
Address to the international community
Maternova expressed her conviction that it is now essential to demonstrate unity and strength in countering aggression from Russia. It is important to note that over 30 Ukrainian cities and villages have been targeted in a massive Russian strike, indicating a serious threat posed by this aggression.
