Banks Accelerated the Pace of Lending – NBU Overview.

Development of the Banking Sector in Ukraine
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, there was a significant increase in the credit portfolio of clients in the first quarter, which had a significantly positive impact on the assets of the banking sector. Investments in securities and deposit certificates have decreased. Banks remain stable due to their capital reserves, which will contribute to the further growth of the credit portfolio.
During the period of strengthening positions in the banking sector, there is active growth in loans. Loans issued to agricultural enterprises, wholesale companies, construction, and machine engineering sectors have increased especially intensively. It is important to note the growth in the volume of loans for capital investments, which indicates positive trends in the country's economy.
As in global practices, the quality of the credit portfolio is constantly improving. This indicates the stability of Ukraine's banking system.
According to the NBU, the quality of the credit portfolio is improving, and the share of non-repaid loans is decreasing. The demand for loans among businesses remains high, especially in the field of financing capital investments. Banks are actively developing lending activities and attracting new clients.
