On Monday, May 5, former Argentine national football team defender Luis Galvan passed away at the age of 78. This sad news was reported by the press service of the Argentine Football Association.
Galvan distinguished himself as part of the Argentine national team, where he played 34 matches and became the world champion in 1978. Most of his club career was spent at 'Talleres'.
“Yesterday we lost a legend - Shushei. He was part of the incredible Fnatic team that won the first Worlds and started the fandom for our fans. Our thoughts are with his friends and family,” said Fnatic in a statement.
Esport fans are already nostalgic for Maciej 'Shushei' Ratuszniak, who left this world at the age of 36. Ratuszniak was the winner of the first World Championship in League of Legends and recognized as the best player of that Time.
Tragedy at the marathon in Madrid
A participant in the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon died after a sudden cardiac arrest 500 meters from the finish line. Another athlete lost their life during the competition due to heart problems. Medical teams provided assistance to participants a total of 50 times during the race.
In light of these tragedies, the sporting community is once again drawing attention to the health impact on athletes and the risks of intense physical exertion.
