Will MMA fighter McGregor become the president of Ireland? Journalists surveyed the country's parliament members.

Sky News conducted a survey among 134 members of the Irish Parliament to find out if they are willing to support Conor McGregor in the upcoming presidential elections. According to the survey results, none of the MPs supported McGregor.
He is a misogynist and a thug. On behalf of the women of Ireland, I want to tell him to go to hell. I think he is a demented and vulgar person
Conor McGregor is a former MMA fighter, a two-Time UFC champion, 36 years old. In July 2021, he lost at UFC 264 to Dustin Poirier and has not competed since. His professional record shows 22 wins and six losses.
It is worth noting that McGregor was convicted of rape last year.
The court found him guilty of assaulting Nikita Hend in a Dublin hotel in December 2018. The athlete was ordered to pay Hend nearly €250,000 in compensation.
Hend's defense claimed that she and McGregor knew each other before this incident. They met with James Lawrence, McGregor's assistant, and went to the hotel together after using cocaine. Hend stated that McGregor began to improperly approach her and committed sexual violence, although McGregor himself denied the charges.
