Where is the most comfortable place to live — a review of world capitals.

London has once again ranked high in the list of the most comfortable cities to live in, according to The Economist. The main advantages of the British capital are safety, healthcare, education, and developed infrastructure.
London has a low level of violent crime — only 137 cases per 100,000 people, compared to 934 in Chicago for instance. Healthcare is state-funded and free due to the NHS, and there are many world-class private clinics.
London is home to dozens of top-class universities and a wide network of public and private schools. The city's transport system is also convenient, featuring an extensive metro, express lines, and six major airports with over a thousand flights daily.
Warsaw, although not in the top 10, has received a high score as one of the most comfortable cities in the world. The Polish capital stands out due to its modern infrastructure, quality education, and vibrant cultural life.
The city has a developed transport system — metros, trams, electric buses, and more than 700 kilometers of bike paths. Warsaw is considered a 'green' city with plenty of parks, squares, and recreational areas. It hosts dozens of universities, theaters, museums, and festivals.
Berlin ranked 21st in The Economist list due to its strong performance in the categories of 'culture and environment' and 'infrastructure.'
The city impresses with its cultural diversity — there are over 20 Michelin-starred restaurants, hundreds of museums and galleries, and the famous Tiergarten occupies about a third of the city's area. Berlin has one of the best public transport systems in the world, numerous bike lanes, and facilities for parents with strollers.
Washington scored 90 out of 100 for quality of life. The city is well-equipped for comfortable living.
There are many cultural events organized by various embassies to introduce residents to their cultures. Museums in Washington are mostly free, with large exhibits and modern facilities.
Education in the U.S. capital is considered one of the best, especially in the field of political science — for instance, notable American politicians have studied at Georgetown University. However, education here is expensive but remains high-quality.
Participation in the ranking of the most comfortable cities to live in according to The Economist is an important indicator for the development and self-assessment of cities and allows residents and authorities to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their city. High positions in this ranking indicate that London, Warsaw, Berlin, and Washington are welcoming, convenient, and safe places for living and development.
