Energy crisis. The Parliament of Moldova has reduced lighting, deputies do not use elevators.

The Ukrainian parliament made a decision regarding energy conservation, which led to changes in the lighting conditions in the building. In particular, indoor lighting must be reduced by 30%, and decorative outdoor lighting should be turned off. The parliament also urged deputies and employees to use elevators less and to turn off electrical devices if they do not require power. Additionally, it is recommended to lower the temperature in rooms to 19°C or below.
Previously, measures were taken in Moldova to reduce electricity consumption during peak hours. Among such measures are the reduction of elevator usage, artificial and street lighting, if it does not threaten the safety of citizens.
Conservation measures apply to morning and evening hours (from 07:00 to 11:00 and from 18:00 to 23:00). For example, during this Time, indoor lighting in buildings must be reduced by 30%, and the lighting of shop windows, decorative, architectural, and advertising buildings should be turned off.
Meanwhile, Moldova faced the issue of gas supply interruptions from the Russian company 'Gazprom'. In this regard, the Prime Minister of Moldova will consider the possibility of appealing to international arbitration. Ukraine also announced that starting from January 1, 2025, it will stop the transit of Russian gas, but will continue the transit of oil according to the European Energy Charter.
