During the shelling of Odesa on July 22, the gym and parking lot were damaged. Hundreds of people were left without windows due to this attack. The residents of the city are calculating the damages and remembering that terrible night. A woman named Nadiya found herself without a car, which burned in the parking lot near her home. She says that although the damage is significant, it is important to be glad that everyone managed to avoid tragedy.

'I woke up to the sound of what seemed to be a drone flying straight at me. I jumped into the bathroom, after which I heard a very powerful explosion. I opened the window, looked out, and everything around was on fire. When I went outside, I saw my car burning. Nothing was left of it.'

Another woman, Viktoriya, also suffered from this shelling, losing her car. Her children, who were at home during the attack, are already used to alarms and shelling.

'My son didn't cry much, he was ready to go to the basement, he knows that a war is going on. He only asked, 'Is that a bomb? Is that a bomb?'. He is 5 years old, and my daughter is 11. She was scared too. But we all grabbed our things and ran.'

During the shelling, over 30 cars and more than 125 windows in houses were destroyed. Rescuers and municipal workers are currently dealing with the aftermath of this tragedy.

'We have already started cleaning up. The police have worked on the destroyed cars. And we are now starting to cover the broken windows either with film or plywood.'

The gym owned by Ivan also suffered serious damage from the explosion. Fortunately, no one was injured, but his cat managed to spend the night there during the shelling.

'My cat was here overnight. He was taken out at three in the morning because everything was full of smoke. Thank God he is alive. The main thing is that there are no injuries, we will restore everything else.'

A crisis center has been opened in the area to assist those affected by this tragedy. Residents can contact there for support and consultation.
