Kellogg spoke about peace negotiations and Trump's desire to withdraw from the process.

The second round of negotiations in Istanbul is scheduled for June 2
The special envoy of the American president, Keith Kellogg, reported that attendees of the meeting will include national security advisors from the USA, Germany, France, and the UK. The main topics of discussion will be Ukraine's NATO membership and control over certain territories.
“When we come to Istanbul next week, we will sit down and talk: what should this look like, what are your feelings? We will have with us those we call 'E3' — national security advisors from Germany, France, and the UK. We were in London, where they helped us somewhat to formulate a list of demands for Ukraine,” Kellogg noted.
Kellogg also expressed concern regarding President Trump's possible reaction to the prolongation of the process. He emphasized the importance of negotiations even in the absence of a Russian memorandum and stressed that this is not only Ukraine's problem, but a global issue.
“If Trump feels that he is being used, and there is no prospect in the negotiations — he will say: 'We are done. Europe, this is your issue. Solve it yourselves.' And that is my main concern. After all, this is not just about Ukraine — it is a global problem,” Kellogg pointed out.
In the context of NATO expansion, he acknowledged Russia's concerns as valid and demanded that this issue be discussed comprehensively. The second round of negotiations is an important step in resolving the conflict and may have far-reaching implications for security in the region and the world as a whole.
