Large-scale energy project: Poland allocates billions for its first nuclear power plant.

The Polish government supports the construction of a nuclear power plant
The Polish government has approved a bill for financing the construction of the country's first nuclear power plant. According to Polish media, the company Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe (PEJ) will receive 60.2 billion zlotys to support investments in the project over the period from 2025 to 2030.
According to the document, funding will be provided through an increase in the capital of the company PEJ. The first block of the nuclear power plant is planned to be completed by 2035, and the supply of electricity to the national grid is planned to take place in 2036 after testing.
In addition to contributions from PEJ, funding from the U.S. Export-Import Bank and other financial institutions will be involved in the implementation of the project. However, approval from the European Union is necessary to complete the project.
Therefore, the Polish government is hurrying to accelerate the process to avoid delays that may arise during negotiations with the EU, which could take more than a year. After receiving approval from the EU, Poland plans to conclude a final agreement with the American consortium Westinghouse and Bechtel.
