After Maksym Ostapenko was dismissed from the position of head of the National Reserve 'Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra', Metropolitan Pavel pronounced a curse upon him. The former head of the reserve thanked the Ministry of Culture for this decision, believing that Ostapenko should be held criminally liable.
The Ministry of Culture reported Ostapenko's dismissal from the position of director of the state reserve for violation of contractual terms and improper performance of duties. It should be recalled that Ostapenko had been in charge of the National Reserve 'Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra' since 2023.
“Pasha Mercedes congratulated on the dismissal. Curse, blasphemy, and deceit. This is who truly rejoices at the decision regarding the change of leadership of the reserve. And let me remind you – he is still at large,” Ostapenko noted.
Judicial case against Metropolitan Pavel
The Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) Pavel (Lebed) is under round-the-clock house arrest due to accusations of justifying Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and violating the equality of citizens. The metropolitan's lawyers tried to cancel the measure, but the court upheld it.
The message from the Security Service of Ukraine speaks of the metropolitan's intentions to deny Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and violate the rights of citizens depending on their nationality and regional affiliation.
