The Ukrainian youth national football team achieved its first victory at Euro-2025.


The Ukrainian youth national football team (U-21) won against the Finnish team in the second round of the group stage of the Euro-2025 finals. The match took place in the Slovak city of Košice at the Košice football arena, and ended with a score of 0:2.
"The blue and yellow" opened the scoring in the 28th minute of the match - with the first shot, Vladislav Vanat was stopped by the Finnish goalkeeper, but the Ukrainian forward immediately followed up and scored the ball into the net.
At the beginning of the second half, Unai Melgosa's team doubled their advantage - in the 49th minute, Maxim Bragaru scored into an empty net after a gross mistake by the Finnish goalkeeper on an exit. The match ended with a score of 0:2 in favor of Ukraine.

In the next match of group D, the Netherlands and Denmark will meet (June 15, 22:00). The top two teams from the group will advance to the quarter-finals. Currently, the standings of group D look like this: Denmark (3 points, 1 match), Ukraine (3, 2), Netherlands (1, 1), Finland (1, 2).
In the final round of the group stage, on June 18, Ukraine will play against the Netherlands, and Finland will meet Denmark.
