The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved for use in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the all-terrain amphibious vehicle 'Taha', developed by Ukrainian engineers. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
According to representatives of the department, the vehicle can operate on any terrain: swamps, wetlands, deep snow and even when exiting water onto ice. It is a maneuverable vehicle thanks to its small dimensions and ability to turn on the spot.
'Taha' is capable of overcoming obstacles over one meter high, and the pressure on the surface from its wide tires is less than the pressure of a human foot. This allows it to move on loose and unstable soils.
The versatile transport can carry up to one ton of cargo or up to 10 passengers. On land, its speed reaches 40 km/h, and on water - up to 6 km/h. 'Taha' is equipped with several fuel tanks and can operate on one refueling for more than two days.
'This vehicle is already being used on the front line for evacuation, transporting ammunition and food in difficult terrain conditions where other types of military equipment cannot cope,' said the Ministry of Defense.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense has codified for the Armed Forces of Ukraine a new drone-bomber called 'Black Widow', produced in Ukraine.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to equip their aircraft with domestically produced bombs. A new planning and guidance kit is being developed to convert Soviet-era unguided bombs into precision munitions.
The test flight on the Su-24 was an important step in the development of this weapon, said Brigadier General of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Holubtsov.
