Ukrainian Armed Forces Operation in Krinky. Hero of Ukraine Reveals Details of Events in 2023.

Ukrainian military, Hero of Ukraine Ihor Kondratevych, talked about the preparation of Russian troops for the Armed Forces of Ukraine operation in Krinky. He noted that initially the Russians were unprepared and were giving up positions. However, over Time they reinforced a significant number of marine brigades.
In September 2023, Kondratevych, who commanded a unit within the airborne assault company, along with his soldiers landed in Krinky in the Kherson region. He noted that on the left bank of the Dnipro, the Armed Forces of Ukraine faced unprepared motorized infantry units that had no rotations and were not engaged in active combat operations.
Kondratevych points out that the Russians were not aware of the situation, lacked sufficient drones and communication means. This led to situations where enemy soldiers tried to enter houses, not understanding that they were already occupied by Ukrainian troops.
However, over time the enemy began to bring up marine brigades, among which were special forces of airborne assault troops. The enemy forces also controlled the M-14 highway and used artillery and drones. The battle took a new turn after the freezing of the river in January 2023, when it became more difficult for Ukrainian troops to enter the left bank of the Dnipro.
In July 2024, the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrew from the village of Krinky in the Kherson region to ensure the safety of their soldiers. Now the Ukrainian forces are holding the defense on the islands in the Dnipro.
