PFU explained whether it is possible to issue a sick leave for caring for a sick husband.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained how to issue a sick leave for caring for a sick husband
The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) continues to provide clarifications on current issues of social insurance. This Time, the Fund's specialists answered a common question: is it possible to issue a sick leave for caring for a sick husband.
As stated by the PFU, such an opportunity is provided for by the current legislation. 'The basis for granting temporary incapacity benefits is a sick leave issued based on a medical opinion on temporary incapacity,' the Fund reminded, referring to Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Social Insurance".
The procedure is described in detail in the Order on the formation of medical conclusions about temporary incapacity in the Register of medical conclusions in the electronic health care system, approved by the Ministry of Health order dated 01.06.2021 No. 1066.
This document stipulates that 'if it is necessary to care for a patient over the age of 14, the attending physician forms a medical conclusion of the category "Caring for a sick family member" for the person who will provide such care.'
Thus, to issue a sick leave for caring for a sick husband or another adult family member, it is necessary for the attending physician to form the appropriate medical conclusion.
Earlier, the PFU explained the procedure for pension payments to mobilized individuals.
