According to the Geneva Convention, prisoners of war can be involved in the restoration of civil infrastructure. Russian prisoners of war decided to voluntarily participate in the restoration of damaged houses in Izyum. During the prisoner exchange, Ukrainian paratroopers received ten Russian soldiers who tried to occupy territories in Sumy region. Together with Ukrainian military personnel, Russian prisoners of war are actively solving the problem and restoring housing in the city, adhering to the principles of humanitarian assistance according to international law.
