The Russian army is amassing troops at the border near Kharkiv.

Russia prepares for a new offensive in eastern Ukraine
After pushing Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region, Russian forces are gathering at the border with Kharkiv, numbering up to 50 thousand people. Experts and military analysts believe that Russia may be preparing for a new offensive, though the scale and direction of these actions remain unknown.
Overall, they are not achieving anything. However, there is clear preparation for active offensive actions on the part of the enemy.
According to the chief of staff of the 13th operational brigade Andriy Pomahaibus, the enemy is trying to bring its personnel closer to the front line and conduct some assault actions.
Now that they have retaken Kursk, the question is whether they will continue the offensive?
Russia may be preparing to attack Kharkiv or the territories that Ukraine liberated in the fall of 2022. An analyst believes that Soviet stockpiles of equipment will be depleted, which may complicate military operations.
If the defensive capabilities of the cities of Kharkiv and Sumy are disregarded, an attack on them will be extremely difficult. Clark doubts Russia's ability to conduct a full-scale offensive this summer due to exhausting battles.
I think the Russians have actually used the forces they could have used for a strategic offensive.
According to experts, elite military units may also be located near the border. These new sanctions may affect Russia's ability to continue the offensive. From a military expert's perspective, the window for making a breakthrough is approximately four months, after which problems with weather conditions and resources may arise.
