According to meteorologists, the hurricane will weaken as it moves through Tennessee and Kentucky. Heavy rains are also expected in the Appalachian Mountains, which may cause landslides and sudden floods.
Recall that hurricane "Helen" hit the coast of Florida with wind speeds reaching 140 miles per hour. It is reported that the hurricane brings life-threatening storm surges, floods, and destructive winds. The US National Weather Service warned of "unbearable" storm surges in the Apalachee Bay.
