Trump's special representative warned of the consequences if hostages in Gaza are not released.

Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Vitkoff, during his visit to the region warned of a potentially unfavorable scenario if the hostages captured in Gaza are not released before the inauguration of the newly elected President of the United States. This information was published by ZN.UA, citing Reuters.
'Listen to what the president said. If they [the hostages] are not released, it will be a bad day,' Vitkoff stated.
According to Israeli authorities, on October 7, 2023, during the Hamas attack on Israel, 1,200 people were killed, and more than 250 were taken captive. Among the hostages are citizens of Israel and the USA, who hold dual citizenship. After negotiations and rescue operations, more than 100 people were released. However, another 101 individuals remain hostages, half of whom are believed to be alive.
