A loud sensation has occurred. All semi-finalists of the Ice Hockey World Championship have been determined.


The Ice Hockey World Championship 2025 has determined four teams that have advanced to the semi-finals. The USA and Switzerland achieved victories in the quarter-finals over Finland and Austria, respectively.
USA – Finland 5:2 (1:1, 2:1, 2:0)
Switzerland – Austria 6:0 (3:0, 2:0, 1:0)
The upcoming semi-final matches include a game between the Czech Republic and Sweden, and Canada and Denmark.
Sweden – Czech Republic 5:2 (3:0, 1:1, 1:1)
The Swedish national team convincingly defeated the Czech Republic 5:2 and advanced to the semi-finals. The Swedes scored three goals in the first period and secured their place in the next stage. This marks their second consecutive semi-final appearance, having been crowned world champions in 2018.
Canada – Denmark 1:2 (0:0, 0:0, 1:2)
The Danish team pulled off a sensation by defeating Canada 2:1 and advancing to the semi-finals. This victory is their first in history at the World Championships and ended Canada's streak of nine consecutive semi-final appearances.
For Denmark, this is a historic event as they reached the semi-finals at the World Championship for the first Time, having previously ended in the quarter-finals.
Semi-final matches (May 24):
- Switzerland – Denmark
- Sweden – USA
The final and the third place match will take place on Sunday, May 25.
Participants in the Stanley Cup semi-finals have also been determined. In the Eastern Conference final, 'Florida' will play against 'Carolina Hurricanes'. In the Western Conference, 'Dallas Stars' and 'Edmonton Oilers' will compete.
We also recall that outstanding American hockey player Lisa Brown-Miller passed away at the age of 58.
