Lightning struck a Wizz Air plane twice in Georgia: what happened to the aircraft.

On Saturday, October 26, a Wizz Air plane flying from the Georgian city of Kutaisi to Prague returned to the airport after being struck by lightning. This was reported by the publication News Georgia.

According to passengers, lightning struck the plane twice as it was gaining altitude. Witnesses heard a loud noise outside the plane.

The flight attendants reported damage to the lightning protection system and the return of the plane to Kutaisi Airport.

The airport and Wizz Air have not yet commented on this information. It is also unknown if there are any injuries resulting from the incident.
