In peacetime, he was fond of sports and bachata. Let's remember Yuriy Trophimuk.


Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died as a result of the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Yuriy Trophimuk.
On October 10, 2024, a warrior from Lviv, Yuriy Trophimuk, was killed in battle, defending the freedom and independence of Ukraine. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Yuriy Trophimuk was born on April 28, 1992, in Lviv. He studied at the secondary comprehensive school No. 65 in Lviv and then entered the Separate Structural Unit "Lviv Vocational College of Food Technologies and Business of the National University of Food Technologies".
After completing his studies, he worked in several different places, the last of which was private entrepreneurship in the field of trade.
In his spare Time, he engaged in sports and participated in bachata.
After the start of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, he voluntarily joined the defense of the state, joining the fifth border detachment of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
The serviceman performed combat missions in the Sumy and Donetsk regions.
On October 16, 2024, a solemn funeral of Yuriy Trophimuk took place in the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. After the city-wide farewell ceremony on Rynok Square, he was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
He left behind his mother, two brothers, an uncle, and a little niece.
"Glavkom" joins the moment of silence, honoring the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for the Motherland. We remember those who died, giving their lives at the hands of Russian invaders, and light memorial candles, bowing our heads in sorrow during the national moment of silence. We honor the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: military personnel, civilians, and even children, all who died in the struggle against the Russian invaders and due to the attacks of enemy troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
