Ukraine will meet the week with rain: weather forecast for May 5.

On Monday, May 5, it will be a cool day in Ukraine. This is reported by 'Hlavkom' referring to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

Forecasters predict short-term rains in Transcarpathia, Odesa region, and most central regions, as well as in some northern regions. Thunderstorms are also possible. However, the east and southeast of the country will be dry.

Today, the wind will be northwesterly at a speed of 5-10 m/s. However, there may be gusts of southwestern wind in the east and south of the country at a speed of 15-20 m/s. The temperature at night will be 7-12°C, while during the day it will be 20-25°C according to Celsius. However, in the western and northern regions, the temperature will rise only to 11-16°C.

In Kyiv and the capital, a slight cloudiness is expected. There will be short-term rains and thunderstorms in some places. The wind will be northwesterly at a speed of 5-10 m/s. In Kyiv, the temperature at night will be 9-11°C, while during the day it will be 14-16°C.

From May 5, a colder air mass will begin to change in our country. Already today, in the western, northern, and some central regions, a decrease in maximum air temperature is expected. Here are the expected figures:

• In the west from +10°C to +16°C;
• In the north from +12°C to +18°C;
• In central regions from +17°C to +22°C;
• In Dnipropetrovsk region still around +25°C.

In the southern part and in the eastern regions, it will still be warm tomorrow, with temperatures ranging from +21°C to +26°C.

Typical May rains with thunderstorms on May 5 are likely in the western and northern regions, in the center, except for Dnipro and its districts. Also in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. This is the activity of a cold atmospheric front. In the rest of Ukraine, significant precipitation is unlikely,
