Ukrainians will have to pay for entry into the European Union starting January 1.

The European Union is implementing a new ETIAS system for entry into EU countries starting in 2025
The European Union is introducing a new electronic permit system ETIAS, which will be mandatory for entering EU countries starting in 2025, reports Novyny.LIVE.
According to the new rules, tourists will be allowed to stay in any of the 30 EU countries for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, provided they obtain a special permit.
The ETIAS application process is quite simple and involves filling out an online form and paying a fee of 7 euros. After a successful application review, the permit is sent to the applicant's email.
It is important to note that the permit is valid for three years or limited by the validity of the foreign passport. In the case of a passport replacement, a new ETIAS permit will need to be obtained.
Typically, the application processing takes only a few minutes, but the system may schedule additional verification, which may take up to 14 days. In some cases, the review process may extend up to 30 days.
We remind you that Ukraine and the EU are modernizing the border crossing point with Hungary.
