Ukrainian paratroopers in the Kursk region have already captured seven Russian tanks, including the latest T-90M. This was reported by the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Telegram channel.
The 80th Separate Airborne Assault Halych Brigade captured the latest T-90M, four T-80 BVM vehicles, and two T-72 tanks.
One of the servicemen, Bohdan, noted: "I have always dreamed of capturing a Russian tank." He, along with comrades and representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, captured several new T-80 BVMs on the outskirts of the city of Sudzha in the early days of the fighting in the Kursk region.
Tanker officer Dmytro stated that the captured tanks will be an addition and will strengthen the tank fist of the Lviv paratroopers in future battles with the Russians.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reacted for the first Time to Ukraine's advance on Russian territories and declared that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region is legitimate.
In the Kursk region, the Defense Forces of Ukraine advanced 2 km and took control of 5 sq. km of territories. A complex but controlled situation remains in other directions.
The authorities of the Russian Federation are creating new voluntary territorial defense units in response to the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region has slowed down, but Ukrainian soldiers are trying to maintain control over the areas they have already taken under their control.
