Weather in Ukraine: cold snap and strong wind

On Saturday, December 14, a cold snap is expected throughout Ukraine, accompanied by strong winds. This was reported by forecaster Nataliya Didenko.

Thus, the nearest night is expected to be 7-12 degrees below zero. In Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia regions, a region of the lowest air temperature will temporarily form - in some places up to -14 degrees.

'Tomorrow afternoon, in most regions of Ukraine, temperatures are expected to range from 2 to 5 degrees below zero, while in Odesa, Crimea, and Transcarpathia it will be around zero degrees. December 14 will pass without precipitation across Ukraine, both at night and during the day. However, a strong southwestern wind is expected,' said Nataliya Didenko.

In Kyiv on Saturday, dry frosty windy weather is expected. At night, the temperature will drop to about -10°C, and during the day it will be 3-5 below zero. However, there may be sunny clearings.

It is worth noting that on Friday, December 13, cloudy weather with clearings is forecasted in Ukraine. In some areas, there will be light precipitation in the form of snow. There will be icy conditions on the roads in places. The wind is northwestern at 7-12 m/s, and in Ukraine, except for the west, gusts will reach 15-20 m/s.

Meanwhile, according to the forecaster, on Sunday, December 15, it will warm up to thawing. Throughout the day, frost will retreat, but cloudiness will increase and precipitation will appear mainly in the form of snow and wet snow. Next week, the maximum air temperature will reach 2-7 degrees Celsius.

By the way, the Copernicus Climate Center (C3S) reported that November was the second warmest in history after November last year.
