Speed limits for drivers in Ukraine to be enforced from April 1: list of roads.

The number of sections for traffic at a speed of up to 80 km/h will be reduced in Kyiv
From April 1, the Kyiv City Council is changing traffic rules on some roads in Kyiv. According to the proposal from the Kyiv City State Administration, traffic at a speed of up to 80 km/h will be allowed on 7 sections instead of the planned 17. This information was reported by the Kyiv City Council after checking the condition of the city's roads.
According to the message, 'According to the Kyiv City Council's decision, from April 1, traffic at a speed of up to 80 km/h is permitted on 17 sections. However, after a commission's inspection of the capital's streets, the potential number of sections was reduced to 7. Following additional analysis of the accident rate on three of them, instances of traffic accidents were found in 2 cases,' - the report states.
In particular, the permission for traffic at a speed of up to 80 km/h will apply to the following sections:
- Hydropark Avenue (from Postal Square to Dniprovske Highway);
- Roman Shukhevych Avenue (from North Bridge to Honoré de Balzac Street);
- Stepan Bandera Avenue (from Jordan Street to North Bridge);
- Naberezhno-Rybalska Street (only in one direction – from Electricians Street to the Gavan Bridge).
It was previously reported that 'cunning' drivers in Ukraine are facing penalties.
