Military Man in Odesa Stole a Car — How the Court Punished Him.

It turned out that the military man from the local village of Mykolaivka decided to steal a Toyota Camry worth over 77 thousand hryvnias. He obtained the car keys to drive away with it, but he was quickly detected and identified as a person of interest in the case.
Court Decision
The military man was found guilty of appropriating a vehicle under part 1 of Article 289 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. However, the court decided to keep him out of prison by imposing a conditional term of 1 year and a fine of 4,457 hryvnias for case expenses.
The military man from Odesa stole a car but escaped real punishment from the court, receiving only a conditional term and a fine. This story shows that justice can sometimes be ambiguous, but it is important that offenders do not go unpunished.
